Detecting and Responding to Cybersecurity Incidents - Alberta Education

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Cybersecurity incidents are becoming increasingly common as external attackers have taken advantage of shifts to learning and working from home and increasingly target endpoint devices. As the volume of alerts, logs and threat information continues to grow, it can be difficult to identify when an incident has occurred. Many incidents go undetected for a lengthy period of time - the global median dwell time is 56 days.
Join this panel session for a discussion on topics such as:
• What are the key challenges facing school authorities in detecting and responding to security incidents?
• How can school authorities efficiently and effectively detect, prioritize and respond to security incidents?
• What shifts in IT security policy/procedures or detective controls may be needed to support effectively detecting and responding to incidents?
